About Us

The Greenburgh Public Library is a dynamic center for lifelong learning for more than 250,000 users every year.  The Library’s high quality programs, facilities, and services depend on a strong partnership among the Town of Greenburgh, the Greenburgh Library Guild, and donors like you!

The Greenburgh Library Guild (founded in 1999 as the Greenburgh Public Library Foundation) is a tax-exempt, non-profit organization that raises private funds for special projects not included in the Library’s annual budget. Completed projects include:

  • Renovations to the 10,000 square foot Children’s Library

  • Self check-out terminals in the lobby

  • State-of-the-art AV system with room darkening capabilities for the multi-purpose room

  • Computer Training Lab

  • iPads for the Children’s Library

The Guild raises funds through:

  • Gifts and grants from individuals, foundations, and corporations

  • Special events and programs

  • Sponsorships

  • Sale of bookplates at the Library’s front desk

You can help ensure that the Library continues to meet the expanding needs of the children, families, schools, and businesses in our area.
